RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. PALM® Expo 2010 and the concurrent Musician Expo; Live Sound Expo; AV Install Expo; Lasers + Lighting Expo; Cinema India Expo; are trade focused Expos. And we do understand that Audio Visual demos and presentations in the booth help to attract visitor's attention. But Exhibitors are requested to please keep the volumes low so that it does not disturb fellow exhibitors and or the business meetings that are conducted in neighboring booths.
  2. In Hall No. 1 - Quiet Hall - as a rule of thumb, the volume level when taken at adjacent or opposite stands must not exceed 75dB. All such low sound emitting monitors should also be directed inwards, towards the center of the booth and not outwards.
  3. Exhibiting Companies - exceeding sound levels of more than 75dB will risk having their power supply terminated.
  4. Exhibitors please Note that Hall No. 1 is a Quiet Hall. Demo of electronic musical instruments like Keyboards, Guitars, Pianos, DJ mixers and consoles, etc must be conducted through headphones. Demo of Equipment that cannot be performed through headphones must be conducted in sound proof demo rooms constructed within the booth area. Playing on Acoustic Drum sets by demonstrators or by visitors MUST be restricted.
  5. Artist performances or demos aided with loudspeakers connected to amplifiers is restricted in Hall No. 1. Exhibitors who desire to conduct artist performances at their booths in Hall No. 1 must do so in specially constructed sound proof rooms located with in their booth area. Also ensuring that the sound does not filter out of the demo rooms built. For options on other spaces available for Artist Performances, kindly get in touch with the PALM® Expo Organisors Office for more details.
  6. Software Demo's through Laptop and Desktops at the booths - must abide by the 75dB noise level and sound must be directed to the center of the booth area.
  7. The booths in the Musician Messe Section in Hall No. 1 must maintain the continuity of the Quiet Hall. Acoustic & Electronic drums, guitars, for demo must be housed in a sound proof demo room to ensure that the sound does not travel beyond the perimeters of the assigned booth area.
  8. All Electronic Equipment that can be demoed through headphones must be organized accordingly. Demo of Electronic Guitars connected to amps will have to be conducted in sound proof demo rooms.
  9. Please note that Hall No. 5 is the Noisy Hall. All Exhibitors exhibiting in Hall No. 5 are requested to please strictly adhere to the Demo Time Table Chart for their respective booths and maintain the sound levels accordingly. Sound and Noise during the demo timings may not exceed 85 decibels at any given point of time.
  10. In Hall No. 5 - The Noisy Hall - while the booths demo equipment in their allotted time, neighbouring exhibitors must keep their systems on mute mode.
  11. Exhibitors building double-storey stands will have to ensure an open ground floor plan so as to not obstruct the view, in any way, of the neighboring stands.

IMPORTANT!!!
ALL EXHIBITORS IN HALL NO. 5 MUST STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE 90dB NOISE LEVEL DURING DEMOS. EXHIBITORS MUST CO-OPERATE AND KEEP SOUND EQUIPMENT OFF DURING THE DEMO TIMINGS OF FELLOW EXHIBITORS
